What is the all new hughesandco?

We've launched a new website. You're on it, I hope you like it. We spent hours mulling over how we wanted this site to look and feel, considered how we would position our services and worked together to clarify our role in the business world, and how to communicate it.

HISTORICALLY SPEAKING

We are five years old, and that feels like a milestone. We began as a social media agency, growing revenue for our clients using channels like Facebook and Twitter. We liked it, it wasn't enough. We moved on to inbound marketing and we are good at that. Quickly recognized as a top partner with Hubspot, we won some awards and some big contracts. It was great, not enough. On Friday we announced a broader term for our service delivery: strategic marketing. Strategy is our game, in its various forms. Growth is our objective.

OUR DEFINITION IS THIS

The last two years were formative for us. They led us to our identity and every member of our team assisted with that discovery, owning their piece of the process. Inbound taught us about applying our talent for thinking critically to the reality of our clients' business problems and opportunities. Social taught us how to turn our ease of interaction into a money making facet of a marketing campaign. Growing a multi-million dollar marketing agency and watching our clients grow with us taught us about business. And the thing we love most is the cross-section where all of this combines to create a strategy for the business that first considers the prospect/lead/customer. We have found our sweet spot.

THE ALL NEW HUGHESANDCO

Our goals have changed, too. We were once focused on growth for the sake of growth, an embarrassing admission. We are now focused on growth on our terms. We work with ambitious businesses with smart teams and big plans. They have goals and they have vision. We have never been happier to come in to the office and fire up our computers to fire out our ideas.

We want to facilitate this growth with our international client base, but also at home. Where we live, people don't know what we do or why we do it. Our mysterious agency exists on the fringe, but some recent local campaigns have catapulted our profile and we hope to be a driver of growth for companies in our community. We have no interest in tackling any project that is not in the business community. We masterfully gain audiences for companies that are passionate and engaged and poised for growth.

We are staying put, our location is one that we love. The Quebec Bank is a building we are proud to call home. It is our love letter to Niagara, a beautiful piece of a fascinating history that we are excited to continue the restoration of. When we signed on the dotted line and cemented our association with this building we toured and found the vault. In its original glory, with original shelving and a door so heavy it took two of us heave it open. This new passion of ours feels synonymous with our business identity. We are honouring what we are, our past and our present. It feels good to acknowledge growth, and to see how far we have come.

We have also retired a moniker we assigned in our less confident days: the little business that could. That little business is long gone, and in its place is the professional powerhouse that does.
