Schenck Farms & Greenhouses is a key contributor to the floral industry in Niagara. Since 1981, this family-run business has worked exclusively B2B, supplying retailers in Canada and the US with live products. In the late 1920s, the farm gradually shifted away from vegetable production to exceptional floral products. In light of the recent Global Pandemic, they saw their usual large-scale retailers close their doors. This meant finding a new way for Schenck Farms & Greenhouses to do business. Never one to be a shrinking violet, they quickly saw the need to adapt and innovate, and came to H&C for our Quick-to-Market Response Strategies.

THE RESULTS

With the loss of retailer business, time was of the essence to ensure that the plants at Schenck Farms & Greenhouses wouldn’t go to waste. Developing an E-commerce site was the natural solution, to provide our client with the ability to sell their vast inventory of products, directly to consumers. H&C was able to bring over 150 plants to life online... and quickly! We created an online greenhouse for customers to shop Schenck Farms' selection of products on any device, from the comfort of home. This Quick-to-Market E-commerce website even allows for contactless, curb-side pickup and delivery options. The sudden switch from B2B to B2C resulted in a seamless transition, creating a beautiful space where Schenck Farms can keep business blooming.
