Gillian’s Place

As one of Ontario's first shelters for abused women and children, Gillian’s Place has been providing safe refuge and non-residential programs that enable women, non-binary people and their children to break the cycle of violence for over 40 years. Gillian's Place approached Hughes&Co to facilitate a full reimagining of their brand from logo to website to a comprehensive overhaul of their assets. This project would be complete with diverse and inclusive imagery, visionary design elements, a brand identity refresh and empowering and compelling content.

Content to connect

The content experience of the Gillian's Place brand is founded in connection; the narrative style of writing alongside the personal experience anecdotes peppered throughout achieve this objective. Emotive language, personal calls to action, support first messaging and a simple writing style work to create an accessibility and warmth. This website and associated communications do more than inform, they invite.
